Standard Allowed Minute or Standard Minute Value (SAM or SMV) is using to calculate production rate in ready made garments or apparel industries. Following equation is used for this calculator
SAM = (Basic minute + Bundle allowances + Machine and Personal allowances)
Where,
Basic time = Cycle time × Performance rating
Cycle time = Total time required to complete full operation
Performance rating = Operator's working speed
Bundle allowances = % on Basic Time (Normally 10)
Machine and Personal allowances = % on Basic Time (Normally 20)
